Formation experience before game 1
352, 343: excellent 532, 451: solid 541, 433: poor Their first game is home against Hong Kong, I guess they either won't get any formation experience for it at all, or at most maintain 352/343 if they lead in the end. |

Portugal is in trouble. That's good, probably they'd play with 4 inners till the end of the game and maybe they'd loose and play us with lowered confidence :)
18 slots filled in their squad today, I'll start research on them tomorrow :) |

They managed to get back into the game, I think they were a little bit lucky:).
Anyway, it would be nice if I could have a file this weekend. Next week I'll be in Miami for a conference, and I think I'll be online only later in the nights.

Portugal in game 1: pic, win 2-1, 4 inners whole match.
Team spirit: content (6,0), same as we have Team confidence: decent (+0), one level less than we have Formation experience: poor at 541 and 433, solid everywhere else. 352 and 343 dropped today from excellent. Team experience: weak (same as ours). Their captain is worse than ours. |

No rush, but if I have an idea about their team over the weekend, I can also decide if there is need for general training for 1-2 older players which seem to be decreasing form....
Anyway, I will be online everyday next week too, it's just that the mornings(us time) I will be away.

Current squad:
(spreadsheet version is at [link widoczny dla zalogowanych]) 17 players and an offensive coach. No clear SP taker, no clear captain. Sadi Pardal trained form this week, I'll check rest of them later. Young players have really low stamina, especially inner and keeper. |

Loose notice: I think we should play normal in this match, then we have relatively two easy matches, where we can play PICs.
Portugal after match against us will play with Wales, Equador and Saudi Arabia, so I'm almost sure they'll play normal with Poland :) Our normal won't be a big loss for us, but will give next 3 points and make our situation very good. (mam nadzieję, że to było po angielsku :D) |

Portuguese players who trained form last week:
DF Augusto Sagres DF Bartolomeu Montez DF Sadi Pardal DF Silas Brito IM Davide Serino IM Horacio Machacaz FW Jorge Luis Unhao FW Rogerio Nazare 8 players, quite a lot. This clearly shows that they're not afraid of training form and they consider start of qualifiers very important. Luckily training in Portugal is earlier than in Poland, so we'd be able to react to some extent. We should make sure that owners of our players log in Thursday evening. This is a really important game. Next games are against 18yos from Ecuador and against weak Saudi Arabia. So if we win against Portugal, after 4 games we'd probably have 12 points and really good team confidence. TS won't be bad. I think this is a game to play normal and to use form training for some of the key 20yos. Especially the older ones - Gibaszek, Włócik, Jaroszek (he'd also gain a lot from increased stamina which we can apply to him with no harm if he gets form training). I think Portugal will use some defensive formation. Their defence will probably be better than Wales', so we need to make a really good attack. |

I answered here so others can comment as well :)
We will probably have to attack this game, I think form training for some offensive player (maybe Zagajewski, who's got passable form ATM) would be good. Generally, I think we should wait for training in Portugal and react then.
IMO we'll open ourselves for motses more if we loose. Especially for motses from mid-sized countries (Russia, Mexico, Hong Kong) - they know that to take a promotion spot they need to kick out either us or Portugal, if we loose against Portugal at home, they will see that we are much easier aim then Portugal. Next two games are: - Ecuador away - where we will be clear favourite even if they mots us - Saudi Arabia home - more or less the same, Saudi Arabia is much stronger but homefield will help us. So we have two games to pic after this one and it is team spirit before game against Russia that matters the most. The difference would not be big if we pic against Portugal and normal gives us a lot bigger chances, as we would win midfield comfortably even if they stack it as much as possible :) |

I asked for general training for our best forward too(sorry that i forgot to mention that), hopefully the owner agrees.
I think normal doesn't guarantee us a win, just like a pic doesn't mean we cannot win on Friday. Anyway, the training will be very important to help us decide what is best for this game. The win is quite important and hopefully we'll be able to get it. |
